Do you think there is medicine for it?

Have you ever all a sudden started to feel claustrophobic and not be able to do anything about it? Ever feel like the world is closing in on you and you can't escape it? Ever feel like you are gasping for air and there is no end in site?

Well, that is how I feel every day. I started to wonder why I was having these pseudo nervous breakdowns and finally was able to diagnose myself with an acute disorder called: Smallclosetasideous (small-closet-a-side-ous).

My medical dictionary defines it as:
A disorder typically common among women. Persistent or recurrent feelings of not having a big enough closet for all clothes purchased. Typical symptoms include: 1) excessive shopping, 2) inability to throw old clothes away because at one time, they were considered cute, 3) thinking white and black shirts are a staple and one can NEVER have enough, 4) closet envy for closets bigger than one that person currently has.

Here is a picture of my current closet. I feel claustrophobic just looking at it. Now, please tell me that if this was your closet, you wouldn't come down with smallclosetasideous too?

One day, I am going to have a HUGE closet with lots and lots of room for future purchases. Until then, I have grounded myself from shopping. Well, ok, maybe not. I do need a new pair of boots....

I hope that closet is enough for the lots and lots of presents that you seem to think will be coming your way one of these days!

Wow, although it's very small, it is very organized. Color coded and everything. You are really maximizing your space. You just need to go to IKEA and buy one of those wordrobe things that sit against your wall. Yes, this will take up your whole room and you won't be able to sleep anymore. Your face might look tired and horrible everyday because of no sleep. But you will look damn sexy from the neck down. I think it might be worth it.

You are sooo organized!!! I'm impressed! No matter what size closet you have, it will never be big enough!! I always weed away stuff I don't use, by putting it in a box and storing it. And then if in a year I never get in the box then I just chuck all the clothes in it, without going back through them. I actually forget what I have even put in the box.

Well, I hope that someday you will be able to have a house with an enormous closet. Although, if you plan on buying a Sugarhouse bungalow, you may have to settle for a closet a little smaller than the size of my arse. Just a warning.

And this is the little girl who lay on the bed while watching Bob try to clean up her closet and said "Oh, there it is?" to a dress that lay wrinkled on the floor when he held it up?

I have a fever...and the only perscription is more closet! There is a growing epidemic that is sweeping the nation- smaller closests. It's true, I've done the research! If anything, because of the world-wide obesity problem, shouldn't closests be gettng bigger? Just a thought!

closet space is an issue. I dreamnt of a bigger and better closet for months and even drew up my ideal design for our space,(because basically I'd like a whole room with shoe cubbies to the ceiling) anyway, Steve actually made it for me this spring. Cut out the wall, rewired electric, moved a heating vent, etc. LOVE IT! It can be done, even in a Sugarhouse/ Milcreek house! I agree, organized and color coded, way to go!
Have you ever been to this site?... thecontainerstore.com
Highly recommended!

Natalie seeing our houses are the same floor plan and whitey and I share that exact room in our house... I know the feeling except my clothes actually fit in and his didn't when we moved in. Maybe because his clothes are bigger. But if you need to borrow some of my space you can, free of charge! I just get to wear the clothes since they would be in my closet.

You crack me up. Did you honestly just conjur up this smallclosetsideous all by yourself? Have you ever thought about going into the medical-naming field?
