As I have gotten older, wiser and more independent, I have come to love to pamper myself with all things girly. I have regular hair cuts every 6 weeks, dye jobs whenever I feel I need them (that's the beauty of brown hair - you can't see my roots), massages, but more than anything, I am a big fan of the pedi. I would have to say, the pedicure is the one thing that I just can't see myself ever giving up. I fear the day when I have 3 children to run around, a home to take care, a husband to clean up after and no time for myself. Yes, this is indeed a fear I have. I have become too used to only caring about myself. I know that when that day comes, I will be happy to put others first, but for now, I fear it.
With that said, last night Brooke, Kenzi and I went and got mani/pedi's at the local nail salon. I have become a fan of the french tip pedicure. Looks so cute!
Now, for all of you that love to have a little "me" time and regularly visit the nail salon, you will find this clip hilarious. Must. Stop. Laughing.
Natalie! I still have the time. Do not feat that at all. Just marry a man that loves you and he'll make sure you get to do things for yourself!! I love the video! SO TRUE. What salon do you go to?
that was funny. i love that just this morning i was trying to think when i have time in the next couple of days to get a mani/pedi. i'm in desperate need of some grooming here. even without the husband and kids i'm just too busy.
ok, that was a funny clip. so, as you know, I have a special place in my heart for "pamper nights". And no, they have not ended with a husband and kids...less frequent, but not gone forever. What salon do you like? My last mani/pedi was a bit too much like the clip.
Oh,i so forgot about "pamper beth" nights! Oh the memories!
Yes, mani/pedi get togethers will be a must when we rendouvous. If we need to get together ever 2 to 3 weeks in order to keep our toe looking lovely, I am totally down with it :)
Natalie - I read your blog again. I had some catching up to do so I was here for like 15 minutes. You are so inspiring to me. I'm gonna go do that french thing to my toenails now too and we can totally hang out!!! I love french stuff mixed with toes...it always turns out well. take baguettes for example...
Just go to the nail place by my house, they love kids. Then you can just take them along. Maybe they'll even ask you "you bring picture?" as they point to their wall of customer kids pictures.
